Reflections

I feel like we're off to a really good start in 2009.

Jeremy is still appraising and still super busy. I'm still helping with the business (scheduling, loading comps, basic accounting, office stuff), and we're very grateful for all the work we have,
considering the current economy.

We've become quite an active family. We go for family bike rides and the park almost everyday. Jeremy has been using his punching bag and dumbells. I've been chasing Macy around, since she's everywhere and into everything. (okay, not exactly exercise, but I'm counting it!) Taylor's ballet class has just ended. She had a little recital last Saturday, and I was really impressed with how well she did. She was really serious and just kept her eyes on Ms. Heidi and did a fabulous job on the routines. She was SO cute! I accidentally left my memory card out of my camera, so I did manage to take like 5 pictures without the card, but now I'm trying to find the cord so I can upload the pictures to the computer.

Jeremy and I got a babysitter and went on a date. We actually haven't been on a date in a while, so it was fun for us to just go out without the kids. Just this past week, Jeremy offered to watch the kids so I could get a manicure and pedicure, so I took advantage of that. Nice huh? I'm really enjoying living in Mesa. I'm trying to be better at food storage. I've signed up to go canning next month, as a sign of my dedication to food storage =) We'll see how that goes.

Taylor's been really helpful around the house. I've started to give her little "chores". She now helps me recycle and unload the utensils from the dishwasher. She's always very eager to help around the kitchen. She also is in charge of loading Jeremy's fridge with waters and sodas. She gave a talk in Primary in January (her 2nd primary talk ever), and she did a really great job. It's always interesting to see how she does, since she sometimes randomly gets shy. I wrote the talk and Jeremy whispered the talk to Taylor while she presented it. She loves her CTR class.

Macy is at such a cute age. Unfortunately, she has been sick TWICE this year already. Poor baby. She's just so short and has tiny feet. =) Her vocabulary consists of the following words: Mama, Dada, TayTay, UP, ByeBye, Hi. She loves animals, namely dogs, cats, and birds. She waves randomly at everybody. She loves the park. She's always enjoyed the swings, but now she's figured out the slides are pretty cool too.
